Teachers employ a verity of assessment strategies to evaluate students and to modify the curriculum and instructional practices.  Students use assessment results to modify their learning in order to enhance their educational program.

The areas of strength include:

Open communication between district and community regarding SAT 9s scores. 

Proper utilization of special Education testing in the placement of special education students. 

Active community outreach in the visual/performing arts and ROP.

English Department standards papers. 
The development of assessment tools in Math and English that are based on the California State Content Standards, and the use of these assessments to guide instruction in Math and English classes.
The areas of growth and improvement include:
Continue to improve and establish assessment tools to evaluate student performance on state and district standards.
Provide adequate time for teachers to develop stand review assessment tools that relate to current curriculum.
Improve student, staff and community review process of student progress toward accomplishing the expected school-wide leaning results.
Improve the communication and review process for all stakeholders.
Continue to finds ways to include or improve assessment of the ESRLs in coerces and programs. 
Continue to recommend that resources be provided to debarments for improvement of assessment tools to assess students on content standards and state mandated tests.
